The McCreary County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce our September 2010 "Business of the Month" award is presented to Milton's Burger Hut of Whitley City. Milton Morrow and his staff have been serving great food and serving this community for more than 35 years.

Below you will find the requirements for the selection process.

All Nominations need to be received before noon on the day of our Board meetings (second Tuesday of each month). The Chamber board will review the nominations and make a selection during the monthly Chamber meeting.

Business of the Month Criteria

1. Business must be within legal limits of McCreary County

2. Business can only be selected 1 time per calendar year (Jan-Dec)

3. Written nominations from any chamber member will be considered

4. If no nominations are received then the chamber board will make an executive decision on who should be chosen

5. Be a member in good standing of the McCreary County Chamber of Commerce (dues must be pd in full to be considered).

6. Excellence/Leadership shown in the community

7. Increased employment and sound employee relations

8. Customer Service/Quality

9. Community/Charitable Involvement

10. Use of local resources (utilizing educational institutions, natural resources, goods, services, etc.) whenever possible

11. Have been in business at least 12 months

 Business of the Month Winners
will receive the following benefits:

1. An Award Certificate will be presented at the monthly Chamber of Commerce meeting

2. Business will be recognized at the monthly meeting, given the opportunity to comment on their business

3. Recognition of the business will be in the local newspaper

4. An opportunity to describe their business and have that description posted on the Chamber’s Website

5. A banner to be displayed at the Winner’s Business (to be returned for the next winner)

6. Be included in the nominations for the annual Business of the Year Award
